Obligatory recap: Tom, Ethan, Pierre, and Jeff were recruited to stop some people working for the Dykell Corporation from illicitly excavating part of Root's Russian PokeSafari. Within the caves, they met young trainer Brian King, from Blackthorn City. There was more to this dig than they thought, as they discovered a destroyed library within, picking up the only intact piece of paper from it. Behind a door in the library, our heroes discovered a mysterious machine being inspected by Dykell CEO Angela Dykell and a mysterious man. Upon being discovered, Dykell sent out her Charizard, whose powerful Twister Attack knocked out our heroes' Pokemon, and activated the machine. The last thing they saw was a white light.
NOTE: Brian, if you're going over to the HCR RPG, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT post in this Chapter.
The feeling of cold, smooth metal on his face awoke Ethan MacKenzie Mayer with a start. Where the Hell am I? he wondered. He looked around. Several people he had met only within the past few days were unconscious on the floor. We were in that cave. We were attacked, and then... Ethan's thoughts paused as he noticed something near a wall. It was partially dismantled, sure, but it was definitely familiar. That machine turned on! But what did it do?
Behind and above Ethan, there was an open door, leading to daylight. All around, there were various strange machines grinding and moaning. Underneath Tom's face was a new piece of paper...

A map, Ethan thought. Guess this means we're at the College of William and Mary. But there's something on the back. Ethan turned the paper over. "Hunt Hall, Midnight. See where it takes you. -R""Guys, wake up," said Ethan has he prodded Tom with the toe of his boot.

GM's Note: Ignore the highlighting and whatnot on the map. It's not important for our particular story. GM's Note 2: Also, most of the trainers you face in this chapter will not have sprites. I'm sorry, but there's no amount of custom spritework I could do to make the trainers look like they actually do. Besides, they'd probably kill me.

As Pierre came to, a bunch of thoughts popped in to his head;
Wow, what just happened? I wonder what happened to our Pokémon..... I hope Dratini is okay.... What did the numbers on the paper mean?

"Shit" said Jeff, getting himself up from the awkward position he was lying in.
"Ok, where are we now?"

"Well, if this map is any indication, we're at some College in Virginia."

"America.....great...." Pierre responded.
Pierre has hated the United States ever since he got rejected from Harvard.
Oh well....Pierre thought. At least this "quest" can keep my mind off of the United States.

"Oh. I didn't see you there" said Jeff, looking at Brian.
I wish he had been magically transported somewhere else...

what Country is black thorn in? It's part of Johto, and we assume all the regions in Pokemon are part of Japan.

"Well, finding a Pokemon Center would probably be a good place to start. Let's check the University Center. But first, let's find out where we are."
Getting Bearings:
Our heroes go up the stairs and out the door of the machine filled room. They are now outside, midmorning. To the left is a hill leading up to another building. Walking that way, they discover that they are now facing Hunt Hall, looking to the East.
Well, at least we know where we need to be later.
Behind our Heroes is Trinkle Hall, which is attached to the Campus Center. Here it appears that several people wearing shirts that read "ATO" are setting up for some sort of event. A small Korean male puts up a sign that reads, "ATO Tournament of Bastards." Our heroes hear a taller caucasian male, somewhat broad shouldered and resembling a bear say, "Why the Fuck did I let Jared name the ATO Philanthropy Event?"
Our heroes walk past Hunt Hall and Reves to Richmon Road, and then cross it, reaching the Wren Building, the oldest college building in the US. This is the place Thomas Jefferson got educated, blah blah, y'know what? If you want to know more about the Wren Building, WM has an obnoxious amount of tours.
So then our Heroes head west, past the Sunken Garden. There are many people playing Ultimate Frisbee, and families walking their Growlithe and Poochyena. There are also absurd numbers of Sentret. At one point, one walks in front of our Heroes, but is immediately picked off by a Pidgeot.
Just past the Sunken Garden, there is a wooded area. This is presumably surrounding the Crim Dell. Rather than going into the woods, our Heroes follow the brick path to the University Center.
The lower level of the University Center is filled with tables, a sushi bar in the back, and a small stage up front. Going past that, there is a Quizno's, followed by the Student Exchange, a small convenience store. Past the SExchange, there are a few pinball machines, some TV's, some couches, a few pool tables, and the mailboxes. Behind the pool tables there is a partially closed off area, where people are playing various videogames.
Hanging a right, our heroes come to a spiral staircase that leads to the main floor, where there is a dining hall and a Pokemon Center.
While waiting for their Pokemon to be healed, our heroes hear about several events occuring later in the day:
1. The ATO Tournament of Bastards. The proceeds from the food sales go to a local charity. Enter your toughest single Pokemon and win a toughie.
2. The TDX Class-Off. Show how classy your battle style is and win something adorable.
3. A talk by a Dykell representative about why they want to investigate the legendary Payton-Randolph House (And I hope to God I remembered the right house name).
These events aren't taking place for a while, which leaves time for Wild Pokemon Hunting. And of course, there are several trainers within the UC willing to trade.

Tom contemplated his options. "A brainwashing seminar, a showoff contest, or a battle tournament? While i'd love the challenge of the last option, I have duty to save others from the corruption of Dykell. Who's with me?"
