Asking around, our heroes learn that the best places to go Wild Pokemon hunting are the woods west of the UC, towards William and Mary Hall, and the stretch of woods around the Crim Dell, which stretches from the UC and the Sunken Garden to Landrum (Building 47). There are a couple wild Pokemon around the Sunken Garden as well. You each can choose which general area you go, and then we'll move along from there.

GM's Note: You don't necessarily have to all go to the same stretch of woods. There are a many Pokemon specific to certain areas of campus.

And to clarify Dumas, do you mean the woods towards WM Hall (henceforth known as "the Forest") or the woods around the Crim Dell (Henceforth known as the Crim Dell)?

Both are right next to the UC, although going through the woods going towards WM Hall stretch farther. You hear someone mention something about a Beautifly/Butterfree Path in that area.
The Crim Dell woods have a diversity of plant life and are next to a small body of water.
