Chapter One : The New Reign

A packed Public House in the Kingdom of Jagull was suprisingly silent.

There were many types of people in there. Most were anxiously awaiting the Order Announcement - A new Overlord of the Kingdoms had been appointed, and today was the day when new laws were implemented. There had been rumours of ridiculous and discriminatory laws, such as "All Ruvians or Descendants of Ruvians are exiled from the sector" but that is not the only Race specific law, apparently coming in.

No one knows how Overlord Derevo came to the throne, equally no one was happy about it.

A portal chute opened in the Public House, and out came another dozen or so people. They wandered over to grab a seat, as the Mythios Viewing Portal opened and the Order Announcement was just about to begin.

Minutes later, the announcements began.

Food rationning, when the Kingdoms have never been so ripe with harvest
Kerfews for all residents of particular kindoms...And several other unbelievable laws were pushing many of the civilians to tears, fainting, or running out of the Public House.

The announcing officer stood down from the stage. Overlord Derevo staggered up the stage.

"Planet Karuu"
Everyone in the Public House turned around, with looks of fear and shock on their faces. They were on Planet Karuu, one of the largest in the Sectors.
"The Pure Act"
His voice was very deep, and evil. It echoed through the entire building
"....Starting from this moment...Pure Blood Sye Breed and Pure Blood Humans will be permitted to habitate, live, work and pass through on Kuruu"
Everyone seemed confused. Some groups started talking and mumbling. There were no restrictions on race or habitance on this planet at all...
"All other races will be exiled, Anyone found on the planet will be captured or killed by my army"
He continued to talk, but the Public House erupted with shouting, fear and disbelief.
Several Minutes later, the chaos had not died down....

There was a huge crash!

Three large Minions walked through the door.

"WE HAVE A TRANSPORTER PORTAL IN TIIU, ALL RESTRICTED RACES AND PERSONS, PLEASE FOLLOW US."

The Public House stood still.

"Remember. We have the legal and physical power to kill you all."

Several people started to walk towards the exit, and grab their possessions.

A reptile-man stood up from the corner.


"Im afraid I cannot let you do this"

"....It is the new law, my green skinned friend..." The Golden Minion stood forward from their leader. "And theres nothing you...or anyone can do about it."

The Lizard raised the brow of is right eye.

"My name is ReZoku. It will be the last name you hear."

ReZoku swung around, ramming his tail into the minion. He smashed through the wall, and landed on the dirt outside.

"And that man is not alone!" A voice came from the crowd as someone walked out from them.


The remaining two Minions got into a battle stance.

A young mage watched this happening, from the back of Public House.

Zeryn sat in the Demensian quarters, holding his hands in his face. How could anything like this possibly happen? It was ridiculous, the exact thing the entire council had tried to prevent.

Zeryn and his personal guards stood up, and he turned around.



"Whatever that monster hopes to accomplish..." Zeryn shook his head.
"I will not take part in this. My main goal is to protect my people, and if we aided him we would only bring heat to Ruletree." Zeryn watched the ensuing chaos.

"But Zeryn, the Demensians have always been about ushering a new era of change. You are aware of that; it is our duty as warriors." Gor'lash, Zeryn's personal body guard, stood strong.

"And YOU, Gor'lash, are aware that we are currently at a weak point since the Gora'gora Civil War. We do not have the forces to defend against such an attack."

"So what? We let the injustice occur tomorrow, instead of today? We let them come to us, instead of stopping this RIGHT now?"

"Gor'lash, you know that we have no chance of stopping an entire military unit right now. No, we can do something better than this. Ruletree is far away, for now, on Terra. While Terra is the most prominant planet on that side of the sector, it is also the most overlooked. We would be safe there..."

Gor'lash looked at Zeryn, dissapointed.

"...and so would anyone that wishes to aid us in a war. Come now. We will escape this war-torn place."

Zeryn led Gor'lash and the other bodyguards down the winding steps, into the main hall. They stopped before they entered the main chamber. Immediately, a large man approached them.



"Hey, Prince Zeryn. I'm sure you heard the announcment. You'll have to leave now. The Demensians are now offically exiled from Jagull. " The red man laughed.

"You are a digusting mammal. Watch your mouth while talking to a Prince." Zeryn's eyes narrowed on the man.

"Your title has about as much weight as air, currently." Two other soldiers walked into the hall.
"We can do this the easy way, or we can let you live. Either way." The man's allies laughed.

Suddenly, Zeryn realized that this was going to happen. It was a war, and there were no boundries.

"Gor'lash." Zeryn nodded.

"Yes, my prince." The large fish humanoid gave a subtle signal to the rest of his guards.

"FILTH!" Gor'lash charged, leading his several troops into a battle with the enemy.

Gor'lash managed to wound one of the men, but was quickly wounded. The rest of the guards fought bravely, one of them killing an enforcer.

"Go, Zeryn. Escape to a portal! I will meet you back home!" Gor'lash gave a swift punch to one of the men.

Zeryn nodded. While he was a great fighter, he had no time to sit around. Gor'lash's men were trained; they could handle whatever the enemies could give them.

He ran into the main room, where panic was large. A lizard man was currently fighting against more enforcers.

"....skinned friend..." The Golden Minion stood forward from their leader. "And theres nothing you...or anyone can do about it."

Zeryn shook his head.

"This man is not alone!" He yelled, rushing to the Lizard's aid.

Lyupo couldnt see or hear anything.

He decided that he needed air, and fast. He managed to push his way out of the whole crowd, outside, into the fresh air. Ly always felt safer and calmer outside.

He could imagine the beuatiful oceans of his town back home, where his family was.

"You're foolish! They're going to kill you, y'know. " Zeryn shook his head, then close his eyes. "I'll finish this. Come with me!"

A large, watery beast rose out of the ground and formed, attacking the group of minions.

Still seething with anger over the pompous Derevo's statements, Hotaru sat back in her chair at a table at the back of the room and watched the Green skinned fellow stand up to the Minions.

"He's got much courage," she thought to herself.

Suddenly, she saw her good friend, Prince Zeryn, enter the fray.

*Sigh* Here we go again she muttered. She flung the hood of her cloak off of her head to reveal her stunning black and purple hair and rushed to his side.

"Need a hand, my friend?" she says as she pulls a small object out of her cloak. With a quick motion, it extends into a long staff. She spins it thrice and readies into a defensive position.
