Chapter One : The New Reign

ReZoku crouched back to grab a breath.

[No Wow]

Caesura knew that it would someday come to this. She had been watching the actions of Derevo for some time and predicted these very laws. She knew the world was going to change. Lucky for her nobody realised she was not in fact human.

She was born in an unexplored land far to the east on this planet, and had been exiled. Her race looked very much like humans but had in fact evolved from apes in seclusion, but by a process called convergant evolution had reached a similar end result. They were of the same size as humans and looked alike to them, but were much more intelligent. Although she didnt realise it she was very intelligent even for one of her race.

Caesura played out the events happening in her head, and she saw no advantage to her to join in the fight. She slipped into the crowd of people many now skreiking in terror, holding her weapon underneath her garment in case her persuers were in the vicinty.

Nathanel Kor wipes away his long black hair, intrigued by these activists. They were standing up to Derevo, or Devil-o, as his sister frequently called him. Of course, Paddon had been gone for some time. Ever since Derevo took over, she left to join the resistance. Nath wished he had the courage to join her.

The clap of thunder snapped him back to reality. The warriors before him were fighting a fierce battle with the emperor's minions. He figured he'd do his sister proud to fight the tyranny.

"Can I join?"

A philospher and a warrior alike, schwagari makes his way through the midst of the confusion. Standing battle-ready in a fighting stance known to only the few that witheld the teachings of the ancient art, the warrior realized that he would not be able to rely on his combat instincts alone.

This, was a very delicate situation. A situation that needed to be approached with tact. He was now staring down three minions. Three minions that had not been sent here to uphold the peace, but to contribute to a bitterly ironic situation. The constant struggle for peace had resumed. Warriors were now fighting different battles in different wars, but for the same old cause.

Frustrated after parrying a handful of blows dealt out by Devero's minions, schwagari responded with a thunder attack, his rage echoing throughout the room.

Nath pulls out a wanted poster showing Paddon Kor.

"She's part of the resistance. She's a mage, like me, but she uses thunder instead of earth."

"Thunder? Thats my bag....I know a lot of members of the Resistance, and her name sounds....familiar...but Im afraid I cant tell you more than that."

Caesura slipped down a side alley to catch her breathe. People were still running from the building, many screaming. She checked up and down the alley and quickly slipped on a different wig and turned her robes inside out, revealing a much less ornate outfit than the one she had on before. She could never be too careful, especially in such a dangerous city.

Lyupo just stood watching the rest of the people who had attacked the minions.

"Fine..." he said, and left the building quietly.
