Okay, Marvel characters who are potentially ridiculous: Odinpower Thor: Literally unlimited power Silver Surfer: Can absorb enormous amounts of energy and release them against anything The Hulk: If you disconnected Bruce (a la, Onslaught) he just keeps getting bigger, meaner, stronger and continuosly regenerating. Wolverine: It's been stated that unless every part of him, with the exception of his skeleton, is incinerated all at once, (See Days of Future Past) he's immortal. The Sentry: Supposedly fought Galactus to a stand-still by himself, still regularly appearing in New Avengers. Scarlet Witch: Do I really need to elaborate? Deadpool: Thanos made him immortal so that he and death couldn't be together, on top of all his other abilities. Magneto: In the past has "Controlled the trace metals in a person's brain in order to control their minds" Don't forget Thanos... he is more powerful than all of those except for Odinpower Thor

Thanos is only extremely powerful when he's with Death, or has crazy uber powers That's not true... Thanos is ALWAYS extremely powerful. Thanos is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel, and he should stay that way. However, I do think that DC characters tend to be much more powerful than Marvel characters (with the exception of Thanos, Silver Surfer, Tyrant, Morg, Galactus, etc.)

You all's main complaints have been: Superman: I admit, he is way too powerful, I miss the immediate post-crisis version, when he did run into people that could whoop him, and hard. Mongul, Darkseid, sometimes Maxima. Wonder Woman: Nothing more than Thor, sanz hammer/weather powers. She does have the bracelets, yeah, and? It seems to me that the bracelets are what actually make her durable, she's obviously not bullet proof, or she wouldn't even bother with them, but recently, they've gotten to a point where they shouldn't have. They can block Omega Beams now? Ummm, no. Her super speed is rarely seen, and even then, not used in combat. Batman: "I can beat anyone I know I'll face a day in advance." I still don't like this, people in his weight class, sure I can buy that. Bane is the upper-limit of that, though. Batman shouldn't be useful on Apokolypse against anything more than Parademons (I'm looking at you, Turner)
Beyond that; The Flashes all got a serious downgrade in IC, Jay being the only one with a natural meta-gene, topping out around speed of sound, now. GL's are up there, but not way up there, outside of Hal and Kyle.
Essentially, the complaint is "Superman is too strong" and by that statement, "Superman's enemies are too strong"

Yeah, notice that everyone on that list are the main characters in DC.
In Marvel half the mainees are crap, and the amazings are randoms that only make appearances once in a while.

You fuggin' foos'. See, the common misconception is that DC Characters have no characteristics and are flat, dull, and too powerful.
Well, that's the point of Superman. He's a God among men, who could easily take them as his bitches, but he chooses to help them. Absolutel power corrupts? Yeah, not so much.
Compare Superman to the Sentry and Thor, and I'd say you're about even on both fronts.
Now, Aquaman is weaker than Namor. That one's simple.
Flash is faster than any Marvel character, yeah. So what.
Martian Manhunter is on par with Thor and Sentry, also, but could be beaten by Pyro...
Wonder Woman is somewhat equal to She-Hulk and Warbird.
Green Lantern < Iron Man
It all evens out, really.

"It all evens out, really."
Exactly my thoughts.

I read most everything that comes out, and in the end I'd say that the heroes go through the same amount of shit in order to save the day.
And all you Spider-Man fanboys, remember Cosmic Spidey? Yeah, thought so.

What? no
Wonder Woman could beat all the Avengers singlehandedly.
She just ties up Thor with her lasso and beats the shit out of everyone else. Dont make me list all her powers and abilities, the list is almost endless.
Also I like Marvel because all the amazings (apart from Aliens and randoms) have problems you can relate to. Like how can you relate to Superman? You can relate to Spiderman, like girl problems, bullies, money etc.
Also Marvel sorta seems the powers could happen, like with the Green Lantern ring you just think what the fuck is this?

Wonder Woman actually rules the world. Like Ive just looked at her on wiki
Here are her "notable powers"- Flight, super-strength, super-speed, highly developed fighting skills, enhanced hearing, enhanced vision, animal empathy, regeneration, sisterhood with fire, high resistance to magic, astral projection into mythic lands.
And she has loads of magical gadgets that could be someones bag in their own right. Like the lasso could be a characters only power. Like she basically has any power the writers could think of.
She could beat all the avengers with her eyes closed. Noone could touch her. She is resistant to Thor's weather magic and who else could do anything? Scarlet Witch maybe, but she'd probably be dead if Wonder Woman just flew at a Superspeed killing everyone

Better than that..she could just crash her invisible plane..or invisible device that can form any shape into the avengers mansion, killing a fair few of them, then kill the big guys that would survive.

DC Heroes are supposed to be powerful. That's why he's called Superman, not Nancyboy. Don't go on a forum and whine about it, even though it doesn't effect you whatsoever.

Eh..well i asked a question..you dont have to answer.
I just find it too much sometimes, like how are they meant to be beaten. And DC have too much multiple crises on a thousand earths events going on.

Crises get obnoxious. That's the thing I dislike about DC, but I like Superman, because he's a SUPER-hero. Not an "I have girl troubles"-hero. I still like Spidey, but Superman's cool.
