Done with the Realms

I was condiering a PM to the mods with this text:

First off, I want to let you know that I am not angry that my goodbye thread got removed. If thats the rules then Im okay with it.

I wanted to say goodbye to my friends here, and I had no idea that it was against the rules. Im sorry.

Secondly, I would like to ask you guys to consider changing the rules for those who come after me. I think it is really a disservice to those who post here a lot not to be able to say goodbye if they leave. I think if it is done civilly and respectfully, I see no harm. Obviously they should have the same rules as other threads - if it gets heated, then get rid of it. So, I am asking that and only that as a person who has been here for four years. Its up to you guys to make the decision, and I wont mind either way.

Thanks for being great guys/gals around the boards - most of the time its nice to know you are there

That's why everyone goes to HCR. The mods tend to think that HCR should be strictly about HeroClix, and all of the other elements should go away. Truth is, I haven't played HeroClix in well over six months, but I go back to HCR for the community aspect of it.

But I'm getting more and more annoyed with the majority of people who post there, so I'm thinking about taking a break as well...

Probably I good idea to not send. More than likely, this is what would happen:

-You'd get a reply saying that no one cares if you leave, just leave. They would also probably tell you to have fun going to "that other site." (God forbid that they actually acknowledge that Rule3 exists)
-Other than that, nothing will happen.

It wouldn't help anything, and it would basically be a waste of time. So, if you have a couple of minutes to kill, then go ahead. But I wouldn't hold your breath that it would change a thing over there.

The other funny thing is that they censor words and phrases that they could say on Sesame street, and even ban people for them, but let people stay who generally cause disorder on the boards.

I think that the swear filter is a little strict. I think that as long as posts are kept to a PG-13 level, then it would be okay. Those a lot of people who don't do that, but they're either friends with the mods, or they have been on Realms for so long, that they just accept it as how they are.

I mean, I've heard worse language in Disney movies than the stuff we can say on HCR.

I know that in the past, there were no such thing a time-out. If you reached 25 WP's then you were gone for life. No discussion. The WP's never expired. That started when we got the new skin.

Thats because I think they had to clear everything when they reset the forums. Then the rules may have changed.

When I talk about disorder, I think there are a select few that I mean. Jacin, although a penis sometimes, is generally ok. Others like musicman, well thats a different story.

Some people, like Jacin and Bud, are entertaining, but in all honesty, they violate the rules of the site a lot without repercussion.
