In theory, it does make sense. How many people who started, "Goodbye, I'm leaving Realms/Quitting HeroClix" have come back? A wekk, amonth, a year later? I'm sure they saw a lot of it early on in the forum's history and made a decision to stop the clutter.

Plus, in this instance, its not like he's actually going somewhere, he just doesn't want post there anymore. Theres a difference there. Its his choice to leave all of those people.

Not saying that to be a bitch, but its reality. Its kinda of like when this forum was started. Because a bunch of people were childish and took their ball and moved away. Its happened in Realms before, with whatever that CreationMatrix place is.

Though, I must say, its grown quite nicely into a place where you guys go and get your "Ill" out and then go to Realms and act respectably.

Just to make this perfectly clear:

If I had the time to stick around HCR I would. I have too many other things to worry about right now. So im not leaving in protest.

Ill say though that it HAS changed there. Significantly, IMO. However not enough to drive me away, but enough that I dont think ill want to change my mind about leaving. Hopefully that clears it up.

Here is what I posted on HCR.

Well, my AR friends, it looks like that time has come for me.

Its been a long few months, and its even going to get longer. I have to plan a wedding, plan a life, and most of all work hard at my job - All of which are going to prevent me from coming on to HCR and posting as much as I do/did. So instead of just slipping away like many others around the boards, I thought I would let you guys know that I gotta get away for a while.

As much fun it is to deal with your randomness/hilarity I cant say that I havent been annoyed with HCR in general. Rez and Ro-gan's banning was just the beginning, and then the overall aura around another realms doesnt feel like it did when I started coming around here. Im going to miss the threads about cookies, boobs, and all kinds of warehouse clubs, however I gotta concentrate on more important things.

Thanks to ReZ, you made this place more fun, in general. Its a real shame that it cant be a little looser around HCR. I really found a great bunch of guys in Ill-Ramas, and it is an awesome place to chill when you got no where else to go, thanks for welcoming me. I hope if/when you come back you keep it in check and can stick around for longer.

To Shel, you are the best. I have told you that you help this forum more than you know, and I think that you deserve all the praise that you get. You help to calm things around here, or to liven it up when needed. Thanks for spreading the joy that this forum needs, sometimes.

To Domi/JKL - Of the random people here, you guys are the randomest. Your exploits are well documented and I have loved every post. Cap'n and Engine room guy, I be salutin' you - yarr.

Front- Im still on for fantasy baseball, ChiSox are going down this year, again. Oh, and thanks for letting me know that the swear filter is not just a suggestion.

Keep up the greatness that is AR, and never forget to keep it all good and fun. Remember that having a good time is the reason that we all started coming to this place.

And I agree with Delta. If anyone claims that Realms hasnt changed, (Incl rules and WPs etc) then they are officially a wanker/idiot. Fact.

Yeah it has, but I think the people in it have changed too, so the need for some new rules were necessary.

Either way, I gotta get off there and cut back in general, I have a lot to worry about with my upcoming marriage as you can imagine. Im sure ill be back in style once that is done...

Its okay, its their loss. Most of the people that I want to say goodbye to I dont need to because they post here. So it was more of a notice than a goodbye now that I think about it.

It sad that they wont let you post those threads.

Yeah, I'm also pretty much done there. My schedule, hectic as it is, combined with my growing distrust of those guys, has made me a Lurker, pretty much.

I go there only for the people, and when they ban those people....what motivation is there to go?
