Let's see:
3 drunk assholes decide to harass a store full of "nerds" and then were so drunk they couldn't even do a mooning without breaking the store window.
Then, instead of facing the consequences and paying for the window damage, the 3 drunk assholes run away like cowards.
Two people from the store track the drunk assholes down and then have to defend themselves from the drunk dicks who all of a sudden get their beer muscles and decide to fight the two "nerds" since they suddenly notice there are only two "geeks" chasing them instead of a store full of "geeks."
The three drunk assholes then get the shit kicked out of them.
Hmmmm....
I don't see how a crime was committed. Eye-For-An-Eye. If it wasn't for the bat I guarantee the two MtG players would have been hospitalized instead of the three drunk assclowns.
As far as the bat breaking...
Sounds like once again the morons who call themselves journalists used sensationalism again to make a mountain out of a molehill.
The bat most likely broke after being swung at one of the drunks in self-defense and missing and instead hitting a lampost/building/concrete sidewalk/pole/mailbox.
A wooden and/or aluminum bat cannot break from hitting a human body part-- even the skull. The force needed to be used to cause the bat to break would instantly kill a man. And, I'm taking the entire skull being crushed... not a fracture as the paper stated.
The drunks were so embarassed by getting beat by only two "nerds" that they exaggerated the story because everyone knows that drunk assclowns that get into a fight and lose always call the police and tell lies to make it seem like they were the little angels acting as moral, upstanding citizens.
