Pierre and Jeff leave from the UC, and head southeast. It doesn't take them long to hit the woods surrounding the Crim Dell. Deciding that a body of water probably would have the most interesting Pokemon they begin to make their way around the trees, standing and otherwise. ENCOUNTER 1 Jeff Grex Sentret Lv 5 HP 6 SP 4 Normal Type Tackle-1 target, 2 damage. Defense Curl-Take one less damage Pierre LaFounte Spearow Lv 4 HP 4 SP 5 Flying/Normal Type Peck-3 Damage Growl-Opponent does one less damage

Hey, if you hit rare Pokemon every three steps, they wouldn't be rare Pokemon! After passing some more trees, Pierre and Jeff reach one of the flatter shores of the Crim Dell. On the other side of the Dell, they can see miscellaneous academic buildings. The Dell itself is rather disgusting to look at. It is fairly stagnant water, filled with algae, mud, beer cans, and other forms of gunk. To the left, there is a bridge, and then more woods. Encounter 2 Pierre Farfetch'd LV 5 HP 5 SP 6 Normal/Flying Type Poison Jab (Poison)-2 Damage, RD: On 1 or 2, opponent is poisoned Peck-3 Damage Leer- +1 Damage remainder of battle Jeff Psyduck Lv 6 HP 6 SP 4 Water Type, +2 Speed when under water Water Sport-Fire Attacks do -2 to this Pokemon Scratch-2 Damage, 1 target Tail Whip-Do +1 damage to opponent remainder of the battle.

(BTW, how much EXP do you get for beating a wild poke?)
Yay! A Psyduck! I could love it!
Porygon, Lv. 9, 7/9 HP, Speed: 6 Normal Type 60 30 to Next level

Porygon uses Psybeam!
Psyduck becomes confused!
Psyduck trips over in confusion, hurting itself!
Psyduck has 1 HP left
"Ok! Let's catch it!"
Jeff throws a Pokeball.
Psyduck is caught!

Jeff picked up the pokeball which was now lying on the floor.
"Okay, time to meet my newest poke"
A flash of light revealed Psyduck. It had no defining features, and looked bored with life. It got up, and started waddling away.
"Hey! Come back!"
Suddenly, it tripped over, for no reason.
"Ummm... It seems to still be confused after Porygon's attack... Maybe I should adjust the settings for psybeam for next time..."
Getting up again, the psyduck waddled off further, before bumping headfirst into a tree.
"Okay, raising this Psyduck is going to be harder than I thought..."

"You caught a Farfetch'd? Cool!"
Pierre was still a mystery to Jeff, they hadn't spoken much. This seemed an opertune time to get to know him better. "So, have you been a pokemon trainer for long?"

"I'm not really much of a trainer. I'm more of a collector. Ever since my sister came home with pictures of her friend's Eevee, I have been searching and collecting Pokémon."
"So, what about you? How'd you get to be here?"

"Well.
I just got bored of doing other things, so decided to get into the whole poke business.
I'm kinda worried though, because people think I'm in Russia, yet I'm standing here in the USA...
How long do you think we were out for? I mean, for all we know we could have been out cold for months, USA is a long way from Russia..."
Annoyed at his new Psyduck, whom was now bashing its head against a nearby tree, Jeff called him back to his pokeball.

You are now standing along the banks of the Crim Dell. The body of water is disgusting to look at. There are a few small rocks, sticks, and beer cans around your feet.
Options: A. Go over the Crim Dell Bridge and leave the woods B. Go around the bridge, and keep exploring the woods. C. Crawl your way under the bridge and keep going. D. Stand and fiddle about. E. Take a swim. In broad daylight. In your clothes. In the grossest water ever.

"I say we pick either D or E!"
Pierre looked at Jeff, as though he were crazy.
"Oh. I mean, I say we pick either to stand around or go for a swim!"
Pierre still looked at Jeff as though he were crazy.

Okay, let's start with fiddling about. There will be plenty of time to go for a swim after fiddling.
There are plenty of rocks and sticks about, along with a beer can or two. Care to throw one into the Dell, or would you just like to sit for a while?

Are we likely to stir the water and then get eaten by a lurking sea monster if we chuck a can in?

It's a large pond. How big could any sea monsters be?
However, if it will put your mind at ease, throwing a pebble or a can or a stick in won't cause some sort of monster to rampage out of it.
