Abortion is a very hot topic in the States.
I was wondering how everyone thought about it.
I'll give y'all my opinion later.

The moment of cnception is the moment that life is created. Abortion is murder.
From a Religious View, the sould enters at that very moment, killing it is killing another soul.
I see the only benefit Stem Cell Research. My big problem with it is, if the girl would be more careful like she should in the first place, then things like this shouldn't happen (ex. condoms, the pill, etc.)

It's fine in my book.
The adult/teen whose carrying the baby should be allowed to decide while it's still a developing embryo. It's in their body, after all. The humans make mistakes, and everyone deserves a second chance (usually). I think if women have multiple abortions or something, that's her being careless and then it turns bad.
I think it's fine.

Teenage pregnancy is far more damaging to the mother's life than it is to the embryo.
Abortion is fine IMO.
I think everyone should be able to decide what they want personally, and based on the circumstances, rather than outright banning it.

I'm basically against any ruling that limits people's freedom.
People should be able to choose what they what to do IMO, rather than being told by their country's laws or their religious faith.

I'm the same, as long it's not crime, murder, or anything that eill seriously hurt/negatively affect someones life.
The the "arguement" is, "But abortion is murder!"
..I'm over it if it is.

My philosophy is that is the fetus cannot survive outside of the womb, then abortion is a decision that should be left to the woman carrying the baby.
Personally, I don't agree with it, and would never want my baby to aborted. However, just because I feel this way, I don't think that it should be illegal. It's just that I don't think that I know what is best for the country.

Personally, I believe that it is a violation of life, to snuff one out before it can have a chance at life. With sooooo many people who would be willing to adopt a newborn, its horrid to just casually toss one aside.
Though, as a woman, I also feel that it is no government's right to me what to do with my body. If I or another woman chooses to have an abortion, that decision is between herself and her conscience and maker. Thats all. My parents raised me to respect life and make good decisions. Its ashame all women can't have that.

I'm glad you posted. I was hoping you would; I was hoping for a woman's point of view on the issue as well.

I'm glad you posted. I was hoping you would; I was hoping for a woman's point of view on the issue as well. Its a very intense debate. Both sides have valid points, and because it is such a personal situation, it can get heated.
You've handled it very well so far.

Exactly. You have to choose your words carefully when talking about something this personal. I think that everyone has done a great job so far.
The only thing I can't stand is when someone bases an argument solely on pictures of aborted fetuses.

I pretty much exactly agree with ABF and Pashs responces, although I dont know how I would feel If I were in a position where it came up.

Also, you guys have the standpoint that you're male, one gay to boot. Plus you all seem moderately intelligent, , so I doubt you'll ever be put into that position.
Another side of the argument is women who have multiple abortions. That, I cannot stand. If you've had, lets say 5 abortions, because you cannot take the time to respect yourself and use protection (shit, even worry about diseases such as HIV) then you deserve to have your tubes tied. Thats just complete irresponsibility and deserves to never have to opportunity to be a mother.
