Guys, Realm bashing really should stop. Its unnecessary, and hurts Rule3's Reputation. Who's Realms bashing? Last I heard it was Ro-Gan vs. the world, PL stood for pussy lips on rules three (My guess was pussy licker), Groovy making a guest appearance as "The voice of reason" he didn't even show up it was just his voice, Rez went to San Francisco and got butter on his popcorn (My Favorite), And Hush uses Dark Red as opposed to red now in honor of Ro-Gan. But as far as bashing realms..go ahead, the only reason most of the mods are on here is to listen to what people say about them. Do you guys really get E-Paid time and a half for this or do you just take your work home with you? Mods really don't have any reason to be on a board if they would normally hand out WP's for %80 of the posts here...This is NOT realms, go away. Groovy is right that realms isn't really that bad, and that most of the people who get WP's deserve them. But I do think it's hysterical that Ro-Gan single handedly showed all of the "guests" who have been coming over from realms how the mods really talk when confronted with a situation that they for some reason can't lay to rest. Kudos.. Realms doesn't suck but it's getting pretty damned predictable. Same as Shel here. I believe I signed on back when there was about 15-18 members. There are a few people I talk to over here. I also was using the comic section more here to talk though no one goes in there. Or I only like three comic book runs currently so I am a little lame. |

I was into Moon Knight, but it got cancelled. May try to get back into JSA or GL again, but the whole Infinite Crisis/OYL hasn't really been a huge motivation for me to do that. |

Yeah the only things I currently read are Spectacular Spiderman Amazing Spiderman Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman Spidergirl Spiderman Reign (ends next issue) Flash Shadowpact When Captain Atom comes back I will get into that, though with Black Alice taking over as Doctor Fate I might pick that up. Though also if Ralph Dibny starts doing something I will go after him too. |

Kudos. I'm actually sorry to hear you see it this way Goose, but I can understand.  There was provocation and instigation behind this entire thing. The end result was exactly as desired I'm sure. Throw out baseless "facts" and in general just start a flame war. When people actually start presenting facts and some other folks start to see through the BS just exit stage left. You're correct in the fact that someone can't let this issue go, but I'm not sure your looking at the right person.  |

Interesting take on it, eh? So mods forgoe ever (and I do mean EVER) being able to loose their cool or get pissed and swear? Sorry, I didn't sign on as a clergyman, I signed on as a mod. In short, even cops speed from time to time. But you're right. Rule 3, please feel free to bash HCRealms all you like over here. I'm not sure what this magical shield that BBS Moderators have is. I mean, in The Real Word What We Live In, if you volunteer for a position doing ANYTHING and you swear and loose your cool on said job, you're going to have to answer for it. If you get caught behaving badly OFF the job, you're likely to be called on it. Look, I'm not saying any Mods from either here OR HCRealms are behaving badly. What I AM saying is that this mentality that Mods are allowed to freak out and get away with it because "they're only human and they're volunteering anyway and it's sooooo hard" is poop. You took the job, you take the aggravation, and you handle it like the mature adult you supposedly were when you signed on. Mods are human indeed, and it's no sin for them to loose their cool. It is expected, however, that they contain themselves to a certain extent since they ARE supposed to be the proverbial pillars of the community - the role models if you will - and if they loose their cool in any situation that might reflect on the website they represent, they should be held accountable. Bull whipped and exiled from humanity? Of course not. Smacked on the hand and told to get a grip...or else? Absolutley. Also: Commencing HCR bashing. Boy, those HCR folks sure are swell. No, I'm not very good at bashing. |

Half of them take it a tad too seriously though. I agree. the sentiment that I receive the most over there is the one of "This is a Heroclix site. If you don't play anymore or want to discuss anything else, then leave." Well, half of the members that post regularly there haven't played Clix in months or even years. Personally, I haven't played the game in almost eight months (however, I think the Orgins is going to bring me back). We all still show up on Realms because of the community aspect of the site, not content itself. That is definitely an aspect that has been downright ignored since the beginning of HCR, or at least for the time that I've been there. |
