Yeah, I'm done with them. After the few months of getting shit on by the mods and admins, I'm done with the Realms, maybe for good.
First was Post Count Gate. I don't know about you guys, but when they took away posts from AR from counting in your post count, it made me feel like a second-class citizen there. I believe that it was apparent that it was an attempt to make those who post predominantly in AR to post less or to leave all together. It's not that I care about my post count, I just think that by making AR posts not count it is saying that those who post in AR don't matter as much as those who post in the other areas of the site. A post is a post, and you shouldn't discriminate between the two.
Then came Ill-Rama Gate. I was never an official Ill-Rama, or nor did I ever want to be, however, since I was affiliated with them, I took the same rap. Banning Rule3 links is wrong. We never forced someone into clicking the links, and if other members are allowed to have links, then we should be able to link to whatever I want (as long as it couldn't offend anyone). Banning these links was just a way to try to get the members of Rule3 to post less, or leave entirely. So here is the second instance that I feel that I was personally told that I was not wanted on HCR.
Third was VS Thread Gate. A few months ago, I wanted to turn the "ven vs Charaxes Thread" into a player group. I PM Typhoon, and the response that I got back was, "Sorry, but we don't not have any interest in turning that thread into a player group." I really didn't know that it was up to them to deem which threads are worthy enough to become player groups. I thought that if a thread had enough interest, then it could turned into a player group. We had enough interest, but Typhoon denied us entry into the Player Group Forum simply because we act a little different than everyone else. Then, today, they deleted all versus threads because they didn't contribute anything to HCR. What does the Random Comments Thread contribute? How about the Two Word Story Thread? They don't contribute anything, but they get to stay because they're too popular with all of the HCR members. They deleted the thread in an attempt to either get us to post not as much, or not at all. I agree that there has been way too many versus threads pooping up, but that is no reason the delete all of them. I would completely understand if they merged all of the threads into one big thread. Maybe give us a Member Versus Another Member Forum. No one is forcing anyone to go into these threads, and I don't see how they can be doing any harm. All the are is a place for all of us to come in, and just bullshit with our friends. I don't see how they are any different than the rest of the Clans in that forum. The only difference is the membership. Those who go into these threads are the ones the want to do away with, so the delete all of their favorite threads, so they will go elsewhere. This is the third time that they have told me directly that we don't want you here. I don't want to be in place I'm not wanted, so I'm gone.
