"Hey! Wait!" shouted a female trainer from behind the group.

"Yeah?" replied Axel.

"Is that a Shedinja? O m'lord! I love it! Can I have it?" the girl asked enthusiastically.

"Wha-? Well..not right now..ill consider it..what would you trade for?" Axel asked, intrigued.

"Um..what about my level 16 Riishan!?" the girl asked loudly.

"Oh cool..thats quite rare.." axel mused. "Find me after the battle, then we'll talk, k?"

*As the group and the other trainers sneak out the gym, Axel remembers something*

"Oh, yeah! I just remembered!" he said, letting Beautifly out of its ball.

*Beautifly flies high over the buildigns and towards the harbour*

"Ack! Its gone!" cried the others

"Hardly. The dust falling from its wings will catch the wind and knock out the Pokemon Melinda has on patrol." Smiled Axel, confidently.

"Now we can get to the harbour quicker, without fear of having to face loads of guards" he says, as Beautifly lands on his arm.

*The group run straight to the harbour*

*The group hurried towards the harbour. The whole city was almost silent and there was destroyed buildings and small fires about the place. The group walked into the centre of the city a circular square with a statue of a former Mayor of Vermillion, one of Freddy Surge's Great Uncle's. Underneath this statue stood a group of people. As they neared them they recognised them to be Melinda, now in a Fetish leather queen costume,

her bodyguard, aptly named number 2

a tall man smiling broadly


and....

Terrance!

Everyone in the group shouted similtaneously

"TERRANCE!" cried Axel, Lani and ReZ, "What are you doing siding with her!?!"

*Nobody had really noticed Terrance dissappear a couple of hours ago*

"NORM! What are you doing here!" shouted Ricky

*Ricky had not seen his brother for quite a while and after their last "disagreement" they didnt really want to meet each other*

"MELINDA, let Vermillion go!" shouted Surge

*He was outraged that she even dared stand underneath his ancestors and try to seize power*

"MELINDA! WHAT ARE YOU WEARING??!!!??" shouted Jenni through her megaphone.


"So the little resistance group shows up" laughed Melinda "Might I introduce myself, I am LADY MELINDA, RULER OF VERMILLION!

And might I introduce my loyal servants.

Number 2, who will shortly be putting you to your deaths.

Mr. Caraway, whom I think one of you might know.

And my dear little Terrance.

Did you think you were safe in that little gym of yours? You had a mole all along!"

"That isn't Terrance in his real state of mind!" said Lani, "He must be being controlled!"

"No you are wrong," Terrance said, in a lower voice than usual, "Melinda is the rightful Queen, noone must get in the way!"

"I've had enough with these runts! lets kill 'em!" shouted Number Two.

"Yes now is the time!" Laughed Melinda

"ATTACK!!!" shouted Surge throwing out his pokeball.

"Terrance, come on, stop this."

"Billy, I'm in debt to the queen, the drugs are amazing, please, accept it."

"No way, Terrance, you and me, we're gonna go, right here, right now!"

"Suit yourself." Terrance took a big whiff of the drugs, then sent out a pokemon the group had never seen before.

"A gift from the queen, do your worst!"
