Like name the 5 singers/performers that you think have the best voice in your opinion and give some reasons. Like choose the 5 performs that actually make you shiver when you hear them sing, and that actually inspire you when they reach the climax of a song.
Ok mine
1. Whitney Houston- Noone else can pull off I Will Always Love You like her. I have Nothing actually leaves me speechless afterwards.
2. Mariah Carey- Like I find her really annoying and I dont like her very much but you just have to accept she is one of the best voices in music. Like she can hit any note like channelling her voice into a beam of sound that sounds amazing.
3. Freddy Mercury- He is definetely the best male singer I have ever heard. period.
4. Christina Aguilera- When you hear The Voice Within and she reaches the last chorus. Beautiful like just shows her amazing voice because she recorded it the first time she sang it. Her voice is much harsher than Mariah's but sorta a lot stronger. Like listen to Soar, definetely her best non-single track (she reachs E-6 at three points in the song).
I can't decide on my fifth one I'll decide later

1. Robert Plant- his range is just amazing. Nobody can sing like Robert Plant, and not many try.
2. David Ruffin- of the Temptations. This guy was just amazing. The whole group was amazing.
3. Jim Morrison- Hard to explain. He doesn't have Plant's range, but still makes up for it with his unique voice.
4. Mick Jagger- I'm not the biggest fan of the Stones, but Mick was a great vocalist.
5. Stevie Wonder- Kindof a wild card. But he deserves the 5 spot, at least.

Whitney Houston is definetly a better singer than Stevie Wonder and ye Pashy, I love Eva Cassidy's voice but I can think of better people.

David Gilmour was great. I wasn't sure if he made the top 5 for vocalists, but if we were talking about all around musicianship, he would definately be up there.

I think Eva Cassidy has to be the 5th on my list.
Have you listened to True Colours?
Like it is actually superb. That is a word I very rarely use. In my book superb is far better than amazing and even better than too good to listen to. It is superb. Period. End-Stopped line.
