Seriously now, one JULY day a couple years back I heard a local radio DJ call in to a random business in St. Louis, and was having a nice conversation. He mentioned that we up north were celebrating "our" Christmas and was looking to purchase some American decorations for the "ol' igloos." This went on and on as the DJ rambled about "stereotypical American misconceptions", until it was time to hang up. The woman ended the convo by saying, "And have a Happy NEW Year next week, too.", assuming that in Canada our NY is still 6 years after.
The DJ responded, "No, sorry, ours in in October."
The whole time, she was completely clueless.  |

Yeah, 17 is the age of consent for the lovely state of Missouri. Well, I guess it not that simple... Quick breakdown of age of conest law in Missouri: once a male is reaches the age of eighteen, he cannot legally engage in any sexual activity with a girl younger than seventeen years of years of age. However, once a female reaches the age of eighteen, she can legally have sexual relations with any male over the age of fourteen. If either male or female breaks this law, then they are guilty of "statutory rape" and can be sent to person.
..and that's the short verison...

I always thought that as long that you were old enough to see over the bar, then you're old enough to drink...

But theyre getting stricter on checking for ID now. But yeah 18 is the age. |

my sister has just turned 17 and has allready been on the guest list for an over 18 club for 2 years and is an alcoholic.
