It wasn't that bad as a film, it just was bad as an Alien or Predator film.
Actually it was quite bad, since it wasn't scary or thrilling.

Why be offended by a sig? Just because it is religion? Wouldn't some people also be offended by the Homoclixuals group there? Should they be removed as a group? Homosexuality is almost always a major political discussion of some sort and that (political discussion) is taboo on HCR.
I guess what I am saying is try to not be offended. What makes some people is religion, or in your case, the lack of it. Why take that away from either group? It doesn't seem right to me that one group should be harmed because the other group's supposed sensabilities have been offended (in a most passive and un-obtrusive manner).

Well, first off: The quote that offends me most is a bible quote about How games of numbers and chance are the providence of the lord, and some such. This is offensive, because it's pretty much the same as the person telling me that my hobby (which is pretty darn secular) is actually a Christian activity, which by default is telling me I'm a Christian. I'm not really fond of people telling me what it is I believe in. Secondly: If the Homoclixuals were actively recruiting, I'm certain there'd be more furor. But they don't because they're freaking sensible. A good portion of the religious sigs, are invitations to get more involved in their faith. That is where it becomes inappropriate. If I was shopping for a religion, I'm certain the last place I'd look is HCrealms for god's sake. In this case, one group isn't being harmed... it's being placed on a level playing field with everyone else who decided to arm their sigs with appropriate content. It's the religious equivelent of getting a room. We don't tell couples to get a room to keep virgins and prudes from being offended. We do it because it's something to be enjoyed without an audience. I recently changed my sig to something I hoped would get people to think about their sigs. In the most "Passive and unobtrusive" manner, and even in the smallest font possible as to not be irritating. I felt that was more civil than say... bothering the mods, complaining in PM, neg repping ( if I had the privelige to) or derailing threads. The amount of pms I recieve to the effect of the above anonymous poster is pretty staggering. Only one neg rep so far. I'm considering going the other way and just making a Colbert-esque ass out of myself in parody and ruin it for everyone else. I just haven't dreamt up the perfect way to employ it as of yet.

It's interesting to me that members of this site complain about the "lack of free speech" over on HCRealms, then turn around to complain about what other people on the site are saying.

I think it's interesting that we have very different interpretations of free speech.

I get the feeling that this is one of those things we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on.

I'm over it.
As long as religion doesn't touch my life personally, I don't care.

I think it's interesting that we have very different interpretations of free speech. Free Speech n.
The right to express any opinion in public without censorship or restraint by the government.
The free speech complaint is completely bogus on an internet message board.
