To be honest, the only reason this didn't happen sooner is because for over a year now nearly all the WK OP Events have been those where you had to keep buying boosters of the new sets in order to play.
The new Galactus, Starro, CoIE/Infinite Crisis and AA events come to mind first.
With boosters being constantly sold in order to participate this allowed WK to look "busy."

As Ro pointed out, WK kept itself afloat for the year & 1/2 by requiring players to buy product if they wanted to play in sanctioned events; plus retiring the old figures so the $$$ would keep coming in  And where the hell is SWM nowadays? Do they even still make that? Yeah, matter o' fact they do. ;D A set tied in to the Clone Wars TV show came out a few weeks ago (if WK had done better marketing maybe they'd still be here) and I've been phoning the Target stores in my area for a Battle Pack that is exclusive to them. (It's not supposed to come out 'til next week but some stores have put them out early ) Wow, angry AND ignorant . . . that's a shitty way to go through life  Not to mention too timid to identify yrself . . . . |

For those just selling now I don't see that being the case. Luckily, I convinced Lucky Musolino to sell all his good stuff off late last year. He owes me one. ;D
Well, as the article stated, I hope Topps finds a way to let WK still make Heroclix. Even though I sold off 99% of my clix I still played from time to time at my local venue and some Cons. |

Thanks to not a lot of good heroclix made this year (1 set). I quit heroclix little over 6 months ago. So personally this doesn't effect me one little bit. Was it a surprise? Nope! Was I ever planning on selling my heroclix? Nope. So in the end its all good.  |

I usually impulse buy and then after a few months I sell what I have in order to buy new stuff impulsively. The stuff I sell also usually pays for the new stuff. |

Never ever been a star wars fan. So SWM will not take the place. I have been looking for a game to take the place of Heroclix for a while. Me and the wife likes playing games like that. My wife likes VS but I beat her to much. She doesn't like Monsterapocalpse. She likes the Superhero games just got to wait for a new game to appear. |
