...
Connie..
This is not a good sign. The GM asking what the story should be.
Don't make it formulaic. Set it in a Hoenn or Johto, or even make somewhere up. (I've never played any of the Hoenn games, so that eould be fine for me)
Kanto is dull.

Kanto is where it's at.
But, whatever. At it's core, every region is the same.

Yeah, but it's a lot less fun when you know the exact latout of the story from the get-go. (basically).
I even tired to change it by going to different citites at different times last time, but ReZ/Connie said no.
I feel i've done Kanto so many times. (which I have)

Fair enough. How about Hoenn? I know that one pretty well.

ReZ MSN'd me earlier, saying he's writing the story, and it's a totally new place, which is good.
I also said we could be given starter Pokes based on our personalities rather than choose.

Word. Heres the story....Oh and a map? You want a map? Sure, Ill photoshop one! (And we can have hidden areas that we must explore and shit) In 1977 a young boy was born in Kayucha, Japan. His name was Haya Yamchi. Hayas father - Hamaya Yamchi was a champion Pokemon Breeder. He had a dream soon after the birth of his son, and he soon became obsessed and consumed by it. He deemed it a prophecy, and it drove him through severe mental health problems. He would write the entire "prophecy" over the walls of his house, his work as a Pokemon researcher and breeder was smitten. "In the dawn of the fourth age of earth walking monsters, a son tied by family fowed blood will reach the third decade of life. Long since deceased monsters will rise, ancient power will emerge and the chosen one will save us from the impending evil from another plain" At the beginning of the year 2007 a large purple aura was seen over America. It then vanished followed by a streak of light that streamed over the entire world, in every direction. Attempts from various governments to get near to the creature were unsuccesful. Attempts to video the event were unsuccesful, leaving the camera or recording equipment fried and useless. It could only be witnessed by the human eye, and nothing could interact with it. The streak stopped 2 weeks ago. On April 3rd 2007 Haya Yamchi turned 30 years old. He was apprehensive about the date due to his fathers ramblings, who has since passed on. His apprehensions were correct. When his wife awoke on the morning of April 3rd, her husband was gone. It is now April 14th. The prophecy was somewhat accurate. "Somewhat" in the sense that Haya is not "saving us" but...terrorising us. Haya and four other people have been guarding and building a fortress on a large Mountain range near the region of Fulouf, Russia...With the help of their Legendary and Fossil Pokemon. Haya has the ability to locate, raise and control mentally Fossil Pokemon. Nothing tried has stopped Haya, but he is not harming anyone. No one knows what his next move will be or when he will strike, but the rest of the world and the nervous region of Fulouf are trying to get on with their lives, whilst worldly governements, anarchists and civilians try to come up with a plan to stop Haya, or whatever he is planning. Haya Yamchi and his primary controlled behemoth, Groundon.

Yeah like if you're scared of the ill-ramas you don't have to join Rule3. (Except we'll hate anyone who doesn't)
