General Information
Times are dark. War binds the worlds, and allies and enemies are now stronger than ever. The four main factions of these worlds have just re-sparked a once dead fued.
LightBound (Bound by Justice and good)
Hell Guard (Chaos and Evil)
The Planetar (Inter-Planetary Peace keeping force)
Mythos (Legends and Myths, interested only in their personal wellbeing)
General Rules
Armies can be made up of 1 or 2 Factions maximum.
Players roll a D20 to determine who goes first, then the battle continues in the order chosen.
Turns/Phases
Each player has a turn, and it is made up of 3 phases.
Dawn Phase
Characters gain their MP. (This is the number with a + symbol by it on the characters stat card)
Dawn Phase triggered abilities
Action Phase
This is when all characters can be given an action - Move, Attack, Summon, Pass.
Action Phase triggered abilities.
Dusk Phase
Dusk Phase triggered abilties.
Moving
Moving counts as an action during the Action Phase.
Moving and units of measurement are done in Inches. Characters can move freely upto their movement value, but must move around difficult terrain and characters. There are movement penalties for moving into low terrain.
Low Terrain - Halfs Characters movement value, or the amount of movement they have left.
Characters being targetted in low terrain also get +1 Defence and cannot be the single target of Summon Spells.
Moving away from other characters would usually trigger a free attack roll for the stationary characters. This is if the character moving away is equal or of a lower type of character size. Here is the chart.
Gargantuan > Giant > Huge > Normal > Tiny
For example a Giant can move freely away from Huges, Normals and Tinys but if it moved away from a Giant or Gargantuan they would get one free immediate attack.
Attacking
Attacking counts as an action during the Action Phase.
There are 4 Different kinds of attack type. Most attacks are close combat attacks, however some characters have Range.
Slash = Swords, Claws etc.
Magic = Energy, Blasts etc
Heavy Weapon = Axe, Hammer etc
Physical = Bows, Punch etc
Characters will have a symbol of the attack type followed by a basic attack value and then a + and the type and amount of dice used, then = and the damage value.
E.g.
* (Magic) 12 + D6 D6 = 5
The attack may use D6 or D20 any number of and any combination of, but when added with the basic attack they must equal or exceed the defence value of the target. Damage is then dealt to the target and that is taken off their HP. Underneath the attacks will be the additional information. This is the amount of attacks the character can make ; (A: 1) and the amount of MP it costs per attack (MP: 1)
Summon
Summoning counts as an action during the Action Phase.
There are many different type of Summons, but the most common is Summon Spell. This would be a special effect that would cost an amount of MP and possibly other things. All Summon effects and requirements will be detailed on the characters Stat Card.
Teams
Each character belongs to a faction. This will be stated on the stat card.
Affiliations
In addition to teams, characters have affiliations. These will be single words or phrases, and they can be affected by other characters. For example "Golzen on Griffin Wing" has the affiliations "Legend, Griffin" and it has a Legend power "Allied Griffins have Ambush"
Abilties
In addition to all other statistics, most characters have abilities. This will be like Physical Endurance, Movement attributes and such. They usually cost nothing to use and are automatic, but some cost MP to use.
