Yeah, how dare they interrupt television programming with the frivolous strike just because they're not getting royalties on DVD purchases even though the actors do. Absolutely pointless.

I agree with you to a point, Char. But what pisses me (with any strike) is the "Side A has left the bargaining table" instead of trying to work the issue out.

Both sides on this know that no matter what, folks will tune in as soon as the strike is over; so there is no real pressure to get back to work. When many writers made 500,000 last year alone, they can sit it out for a year or two before 'needing' to return to work.

And that's part of my frustration as well. The writers want more money. Ok, fine; even though many are already overpaid (500,000 to write bad jokes that Jay Leno says for 5 minutes at the beginning of his show;) they've got the right to fight for more money.

But these mega-corps won't even give up a few pennies on the dollar, WHICH IS WHAT THE WRITER'S ARE ASKING FOR!!!!

Meh. In the meantime, we have to suffer through EVEN MORE reality shows; with the quality of them going down and down, and down.

Thank God baseball season starts in a few months.

i was talking about the kind you see in starbucks writing on there laptops, for there books that will just end up in WHsmiths for years untill there reduced to clear.

also i hate actors/directors/anyone involved in the production of entertainment/ everybody/ everything/ all that ever was/ all that every will be and frontman

Almost everything makes you smarter, just from experience. Touching a hot stove makes you smarter, because you know that that causes pain. Playing video games makes you smarter because you get better at the game. It all depends on what you want to get smarter/better AT.
