I need a little help from anybody who can lend it, please. My sister is doing a project for school about Los Ageles history and she needs to show a movie about its history. Not a documentary, but a motion picture explaining the history of L.A. For example, if she were doing a project on New York history, I would recommend Gangs Of New York. The only movie that I can think of is My Family, but thats boring and she doesn't like Jennifer Lopez.

Actually, I think there was a TV movie or miniseries about John C. Fremont and the early history of the state, but I dunno if it's available or not. Sorry. Maybe the Alamo with California locations inserted digitally in it?  . |

What is that about? And yeah, she's old enough. Actually, it's a comedy with George Hamilton (recently seen on Dancing with the Stars) It takes place during Spanish rule of Southern California. Lots of place names are in it and you find out "Alcalde" is Spanish for Mayor, I think. I edited in a serious choice, though . |
