Superman Returns
By now most of my peeps have already seen this movie...So Im going to use SPOILERS kay'
*Spoilers*
Wow. For a superhero film it really didnt have many Super hero battles....oh wait...it didnt have ANY. WTF was that about! Yeah yeah, Superman Returns is a good movie. A good movie yes, not a good comic book movie. I mean c'mon....People dont read comics to not get super hero vs battles! Ya dig?
And what...No cliffhanger? Not even, like A piece of Krytonite falling on the street, and some thug picking it up.
Every recent comic book movie has had a twit.
Batman Begins - "He leaves a calling card"
Spidey 2 - Harry smashing mirror
FF - The handset going crazy by Dooms crate
X-men TLS - Mags zapping chess piece AND Prof X aint dead words.
Okay Im being a little harsh, and it was overall a great movie with good action scenes...but I wanted more offense from him! more FIGHTS. The acting was actuallly impressive though, and Kate Bosworth was pretty fit.
Best thing was the Spidey trailer on the big screen though.
6.9/10.

Seriously, is Smaug on crack? Seriously, When has Superman ever been an action movie. I stand by what I said. 9.9 (In Imax) 9.8 (Normally) It was NOT boring at all. Sheesh, you wanna see an action film, see x-men, NOT Superman. You want to see a GREAT movie, well acted, awesomely directed, movie, see Superman, NOT x-men. |

....Huh. Patrick Stewart was the best part of the X-Men Trilogy. And, I never said they were bad movies, just not as good as SR. And Halle Barry can't act for squat. I thought ALL of the acting in SR was great. |

And, have you ever seen the first Superman? It was made to be just like that, and if you ask me, it did a darn good job. |

I hate Superman, but saw the film, and have to say the speicial effects were spectacular. Nowadays you go to see an action/adventure film expecting the usual special effects, but the
*SPOILERS*
Plane scene, with it hurtling towards the ground, actually made you feel excited.
The rest was ok. Good acting. Didnt make the super suit lookto silly.
BTW what was up with Kates hair?

Other things wrong with the movie ;
Landing on a only partially based kryptonite land means he can get the shit kicked out of him, however lifting a mostly Kryptonite meteor, with Krytonite daggers moving towards him, doesnt effect him at all.
yeah yeah willpower and all that bull, but if its his weakness it is SCIENCE. Willpower doesnt come in.

And Superman returns trying to homage to it ...Wtf? Right yeah, now Like i said I havnt seen it but Im sure Superman wasnt, Supermans son KILLING things.
Anyway. Yeah, Im done criticising this film, its too easy and boring. Bring on Spidey 3! |
