As for my popularity taking a hit, I am not really worried about it. As far as I know no one who posts here regularly has a problem with you. Now, if I were I start patting AZS on the back, then that might rise some eyebrows...

We try and take turns. Sadly, most of us have to fill in for Shel when her turn comes up. She tends to be nice and all.

First, let me assure you that the baseball had nothing to do with me stopping posting on the other forums. Also, I have had no complaints other than Doc bragging about how awesome his team is until recently. Honestly, though, I harbor no resentment against anyone in the league. I do wish I could say the same for all of the other players, but I have no control over that.

I'm looking forward to next year. Hell, I'm looking forward to the end of the week! Gacy and I are involved in a nail-biter that's going to go down to the wire. Just the way the championship week should go down. I think it'll be real interesting to see how it goes down.

Truth be told, I quit posting on HCR for many reasons, but none of them involved the fantasy baseball league. The main reason is, the majority of the guys I want to keep in contact with are right here, so I really don't have much to say to those over on HCR. I haven't played Clix in well over a year, so I don't read the articles or the strategy pieces anymore. I also haven't bought a comic book in longer than I can remember, so I really can't hold a conversion about comic books anymore. I got the distinct feeling that unless you want to talk about those two topics, then you are not welcome on the forum, so I left. I still lurk almost everyday, but the consistent bickering and childishness keeps me from posting. I'm still active in the Homo dojo, but that's just because they're the greatest group of guy on the interwebs. I post to things I do know about (ie: movies, TV, music, etc) but it always boils down to an argument that just makes me want to stay away even more.

While keeping the honesty theme, I think you've done a great job being the commish for the fantasy league this year. You've had to deal with so much, and you really do a good job, and I think it's complete bullshit that most of the guys won't even acknowledge that. Lord knows I wouldn't want to be responsible for that circus.

Has anyone sent Luke anything? I just called the prison and they told me magazines have to come from the publisher, books must come from Amazon.com, and letters are limited to 5 pages per envelope. I figured I would print some articles about Scott and Friday Night Lights, and that Dream Blade was canceled. I'm thinking of sending him the 30 Days of Night novelization also.

I got a letter from Luke today. Here are a few of the things I feel comfortable sharing:
He says hi to all his "real friends";
he requests that I "tell everyone not to believe everything you read about me and my divorce/custody battle."
He is in protective custody, since he was a cop;
he has cable tv in his cell (damn);
His sentence is 3-12 months, and he expects to make parole mid-November and hopes to be home for Thanksgiving.

Adding my thanks and good to know that Luke's all right. I hope that he makes parole and gets to spend the holidays at home. My guess is that he doesn't have access to the Internet. I might have to send him a snail mail letter.
